The Bega Valley Shire Residents & Ratepayers Association group in WALLAGOOT NSW were outraged from frustrations in communications with its regional council.
During legitimate requests for answers to enlighten the community toward deeper understanding of their financial burdens. The response received was confusing and stapled with hallmarks of a typical political statement. One can easily label it as a learned response taken out of a legal manual instruction on how to to obfuscate.
“Obfuscation” is the term used to describe a common technique used by politicians, the world over, to avoid responding to difficult questions. This propensity effectively derails or delays legitimate inquiries that a responsible politician does not want to deal with.
This mode of operation transfers responsibility and authority on to, paid for, bureaucrats that respond to legitimate inquiries with unclear and deliberately evasive language that will effectively avoid a meaningful response (evident by their signatures in the linked report).
The link below is the media release requested by the rate payers for publication on the EM-Voice.
There will be other follow up reports published for the sake of easy comprehension on this matter.
