Zoom Meeting

An experimental virtual “Meet the Candidates” (MtC) was held last night by the Nimmitabel Chamber of Commerce (NCC).

The event had to suddenly pivot to virtual due to COVID concerns given the recent Jindabyne exposure. The patience and commitment shown by candidates to make the virtual event work was a good sign for the future.

There were a number of technical challenges to hosting the candidates on Zoom including last minute arrangements for the candidates who attended from the pub and other candidates that were able to attend at the last minute.

Jim Walker-Broose showed great flexibility and poise by shuffling the candidate list on the fly and briefing each as required, which allowed the maximum number of candidates to present.

You can watch a Zoom recording of the event as per the details below.

You’ll need the passcode below to access the recording (hosted by Zoom):

The meeting starts at 3:45 mark – Apologies, but it is too hard to snip front off due to the size of the recording and get the information out in a reasonable period of time (8 days to go as of tomorrow!)

The raw Zoom recording is here:

Next MtC Event?

At this stage there is a MtC event scheduled in Bombala for Sunday evening and possibly another Virtual MtC next Wednesday if the stars align.

If you are hosting a MtC please let me know here so we can pass it on.

Thanks again Guys – especially to Jim for his great job as MC, Darren for tech support and the NCC for hosting the event.
